Houseboat Hire Terms & Conditions
A $300 booking deposit is required
Booking deposits can be made by credit card at time of booking.
Full payment is required 30 days before departure for High Season and Peak Periods. If the booking is made within the 30 day period, full payment is required at time of booking as well as the $300 deposit.
A security bond of $300 is to require before departure. An imprint of your credit card will be taken with bond returned within 3-5 working days, otherwise a cash bond will be refunded on return of the vessel in good clean working order after inspection.
Fuel is charged at $30 per running hour to be paid shortly after the return of the vessel.
Charter Hire Agreement:
A charter hire agreement has to be completed before departure. The skipper is required to be a minimum of 21 years old and have acquired previous boating experience and knowledge.
Cancellation of Hire:
Cancellations: Bookings cancelled prior to the full payment, before 30 days for High Season and Peak Periods the deposit will be refunded less $50 processing Fee ($250). If less than 30 days cancellation the following charges will apply 30-22 days 25% of hire cost, 21-15 days 50% of hire cost, 14-7 days 75% of hire cost and less than 7 days 100% of hire cost.
Cancellations: During Low and Standard Seasons deposit is non refundable 3 weeks before departure. If cancelled before 3 weeks of hire deposit will be refunded less $50 processing fee ($250).
Full payment is due before departure.
**Travel Insurance is recommended for cancellations.
*Please note we are unable to refund your holiday just due to bad weather conditions. In the case of severe weather conditions e.g cyclones your holiday can be postponed to a later date.
